2.2 Preferences (consent-based)

Stores user preferences such as language settings. When this category is enabled, the selected language may be saved locally on the device; when disabled, the site relies only on the language value present in the URL and does not persist a language preference.

2.3 Analytics (consent-based)

May be used to measure traffic and service performance. This may include visited page, referrer, and country/region distribution analytics (country code inferred from request headers). Disabled unless user enables this category.

2.4 Marketing (consent-based)

Reserved for campaign/marketing tracking. Disabled by default and only enabled with explicit user choice.

3. Main Keys Used

velnotes-cookie-consent-v1: stores your consent preferences.
velnotes-lang: stores language preference when preference category is enabled.
velnotes_site_visitor_v1: stores an anonymous visitor identifier in localStorage for website visit analytics.
velnotes_site_visit_throttle:*: stores a short-lived timestamp in sessionStorage to throttle repeated analytics sends for the same page.

4. Managing Preferences

You can choose categories in the cookie panel shown on entry. You can also clear or block cookies from browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functions.

5. Legal Basis

Strictly necessary storage relies on service necessity and legitimate interests. Optional categories rely on user consent.

6. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated due to legal or technical changes. Updated text becomes effective upon publication.
